CCMAC Christopher Columbus Park Flying Site
VSC 19 MARCH 14 - 17, 2007 CONTEST INFORMATION
This is the map to Christopher Columbus Park located North of Grand Rd. on Silverbell. You can get to Silverbell
by either Camino Del Cerro or Grant Rd. Christopher Columbus Park is the is the Contest Site for the Vingage Stunt Championships (VSC).
The Cholla Choppers and the Central Arizona Control Line Club (see logos below) together run and manage VSC.
The Vintage Stunt Championships are conducted in March of each year and 2006 in no exception.
The MAP to the left can be printed directly to a Printer. Right click on the MAP, click on Print Picture,
select the Printer, and click Print. This will provide a full page printout of the map which will be easy to read. The banquet location is changing. At this time
it looks like the VSC banquet will move to the Hotel down town on Broadway just off of I-10 (Not shown on the MAP yet). We have been here before. The Marriott Hotel that we have
used for the past three years is booked for the date we need making the change necessary. A new MAP and more details will be available later.
Click on the blue box (VSC XIX Flyer) below to download / print the VSC 19 two page flyer. We needed to provide more information and it is impossible to fit all the information
into one page.
Click on the blue box (Old Time / Classic Rules) below to print, download, or both the rules for OTS and Classic Stunt. They are the latest and greatest.
These are the rules we use and have used at VSC in Tucson. ARF's at VSC in Tucson receive zero (0) appearance points. The VSC team made a decision prior to running
VSC 15 that ARFs (should they start appearing at VSC) would be allowed to fly but receive no appearance points. So, starting with VSC 15 (2004) all ARFs flying at VSC
have received no appearance points. VSC 19 will be no different. The ARF information is provided for those entering for the first time or have not entered anytime over
the past three (3) years. This information is also provided on the VSC 19 two page flyer.

VSC XIX (19) starts in 4 days. Registration is closed. Please read the flyer information carefully. The flyer is two pages of information.
The headquarters Hotel again is the RODEWAY INN (Now the QUALITY INN). The Judges meeting will take place Tuesday, March 13th, at 12 noon and Classic
appearance judging takes place Thursday, March 15th, at 4:30PM in the court yard of the QUALITY INN.
The Saturday night VSC 19 banquet will be starting a little later than in the past due to another party will be finishing up ahead of us. The best schedule we have for the banquet is as follows
and the detail are covered in the flyer:
Bar will open at 6:00PM
Seating at 7:15PM Hopefully sooner
Dinner at 7:30PM
Please note the section in the flyer "Important Changes".
Item #1: During the two days of Old Time and Old Time Ignition the two unused circles will be reserved for Old Time Practice until 11:30AM. No
Classic practice flights until 11:30AM for the first two days of competition. The reason for this is explained in the flyer. During the competition Friday and Saturday, the three unused
circles will be open for practice all day both days (no restrictions).
Item #2: The Classic pilots meeting will take place at 6:45AM both days with official flying starting at 7:15AM. The flight order for Classic will be posted at appearance judging Wednesday March 15th.
Again the reason for this step is explained in the flyer.
If everyone will cooperate and adhere to the changes described herein, VSC 19 will move along at its usual great pace and a great experience will be had by all.
